LamiNest Cut brings together a development direction spanning 2D CAD, DXF exchange, nesting and CAM preparation in a local Windows application. Capabilities are developed in stages and their status is described clearly.
A clear view of the current scope
LamiNest Cut is a desktop application in development. Its foundations include a CAD document model and 2D geometry, selected DXF operations and experimental work on contour-based nesting. Full CAM, production management and advanced quoting remain in development or planned; later stages depend on testing and project priorities.
DXF
Import and export of selected entities, with file-dependent limits.
Nesting
A limited envelope-based MVP; True-Shape is experimental.
CAM
Configuration and selected operations are partial; the full workflow is unfinished.
Production
The production module remains planned.
Quoting
Basic quoting and an advanced module remain planned work.
